Introduction

Since the invention of television and other types of media, there is a lot of debate going on about the negative affect that the media has on the lives of the people. Mass communication is a term that includes all the types of media such as television, magazines, radio, newspapers, etc. It is important for the people to know as to what role the media can play in the lives of the people and how they can prove to be effective for their lives. This paper will discuss as to how the media has impacted the affairs in the 20th century.

A lot has been said about the negative impacts that media has on the lives that people lead and how it impacts their daily activities. It is important for the people to realize that the media does not necessarily impact them in a negative manner. This means that the media has positive impacts, as well. Much of the negative impact is on the governmental affairs and how they conduct and run the country and affairs related to it. Positive impact should also be considered and it should be made sure that the people do not get impacted by it in a negative manner only.

Talking about the governmental affair, it can be said that though the media has impacted it negatively, but it has not always been dishonorable to the affairs conducted in the 20th century (reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk). Media has been an important player in the past few years and it is important for the government to make sure that media does not impact it in a negative manner or else the countrymen will be the one who will have to suffer.
