Role play and Social Development of Children

This research is aimed to measure the significant importance of role play in relation to social development in early years of foundation stage. It studies how role play and role imagination plays an important part in the process of social development and how children can develop different attributes for the social interaction. It also explains different characteristics of role play in the social development. Children construct many expertise and skills during their childhood period; this study explains how these skills can influence his future life. Children are the foundations of society so they should be provided with the better education. There are a number of factors also studied in the paper which are responsible for the less affiliation for social gatherings and meetings in children.

Introduction

The world is moving at a very fast pace; progression has been made all over the world. It is very important for the societies to lay down the foundation for education. Early childhood care and education are essential tools for the success of an individual and for societies as well. It is the right of everyone to get education; it is not necessary to get high level education, but an individual should get at least primary education in his life. The basic education should be made first priority all over the world. It is time for the government of every state to pay attention to the education sector. Poor countries should come up with legislation in order to achieve their goal. This will benefit the nation in the future. Government should start socio-economic development programs for the development of the nation.

Children have been taught many things since their infancy. They learn to develop various skills through their experiences. Children develop their understanding of mind through social interaction. Children also learn many things at their early stages of life through people who play significant roles in their life. Social development can be defined as a behaviour of interacting with the internal and external environment of children. The role play plays an important part in the development of children skills and behaviour. Children passed through a range of experiences throughout their early stages of life. Children in their early stages take part in different types of plays (UDWIN and SHMUKLER, 1981. Pp 66-74).
