Bill Clinton

Introduction

In talking about bill's childhood after he moved through the time that he lived with his grandparents he begins to paint a picture of his family that not everyone knows. Clinton's father died before Bill was born and his mother remarried years later. Bill and his mother Virginia give a vivid description of Roger Clinton (Bill's step-father). In doing this they show that Roger could not take the leadership role in the family because of his battle with alcoholism, so that meant that Bill had to be the father figure for that family, even though he was only a child (Nigel, 36-44). In 1950 bill Clinton returned to this small town in Arkansas and immediately married Roger Clinton, a dealer of used cars and alcohol, which contributed to the family name. When Clinton was seven years old his parents moved to Hot Springs, a city far more populous and more job opportunities with the provincial Hope.

With the father's income as a car salesman and his mother as a nurse anesthetist, Clinton received an education conducive to their future jump to college. In 1963 he was chosen to integrate a delegation of school organization, scouting American Legion Boys State which was received by President John Kennedy in the White House. In a time of receipt, Kennedy shook hands with the young Clinton, a scene which was filmed and would be repeatedly reproduced in his future endeavors policies (Michael, 32-149).

This meeting, and the leadership of Martin Luther King at the head of the civil rights movement of black people, left a deep impression on the teenager, decanting, as he said three decades later, his vocation for public service and political career plethoric in ambition and idealism. Also from this period comes from his love of saxophone, an instrument played in the marching band at school and the wind section of the state of Arkansas. Thanks to various school grants and loans from the federal government was able to study in Catholic Georgetown University in Washington, which in 1968 received a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs, and the elite Yale University, New Haven, by the he graduated in law in 1973.During his stay in Georgetown served as interim assistant in the office of Sen. Arkansas and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations, William J. Fulbright, and among both races went scholarship two years, from 1968 to 1970 in the University College, Oxford, UK (Richard, 65-147).

The campaign helped Hillary Rodham, a brilliant defense attorney in Chicago linked to the leftist sectors of the Democratic Party (DP) and specialized in cases involving children and women, which had met at Yale Law School. The couple married on October 11, 1975 by Methodist rites. In Fayetteville the Clinton exercised the dual legal profession and teaching, widening their circle of friends and their social effects in order to ensure the springboard for his political goal: to become governor of Arkansas (Mark, 258-277).
