This paper strives to undertake endeavours to discover and reveal the essentiality of the security in a person's daily life, and the effect that the factor of fear has on the life and activities of the common inhabitants. Moreover, the effect of establishment of the institutes pertaining to law and order, such as police stations, and other vital paradigms of human safety and security, such as hospitals and fire stations will have on diminishing the rate and severity of crimes in the designated regions. Therefore, in order to comprehend this phenomenon, the topic, which the proposed study will cover, revolves around “how crime in a city will affect where the city decides to put fast response units like police stations, hospitals, fire departments, and other similar institutes”.

However, in endeavour to comprehend the establishment of these units, and their subsequent effects on the crime rates and added sense of security for the public, it is highly imperative that the basic concept of fear and the security is assimilated, and then the study can be taken forward, as though what effects those fears may have on the common lives, and what relief will the added sense of security will bring in their lives, with the establishment of such institutes.

Amongst the pivotal necessities of a human life are the constant assurance and availability protection and security in one's life. If a cognitive mind tends to ponder over the need and requirement of security, then it will not be that abstruse to comprehend that almost every aspect of a person's life is in one way or another is related or associated with the phenomenon of security. Even the concept of security entails numerous connotations attributed to it. The meaning of security in life also pertains to the financial or economic security, health security and many others, and there lies no secret in the fact that every aspect of security has its own significance in a person's life. However, if the life security of a person is always at stake, then the significance of other aspects seem to diminish substantially. Therefore, provided an individual is financially secure and relishes sound health, as well, but the existing circumstances of the community or the society do not guarantee the safety of his life, then the significance of financial and health security lose their essence in the comparison.

Therefore, the core objective of this paper revolves around the assimilation of the dwindling level of security of a community, and the steps that are imperative to be taken in order to not only enhance the structure of security, but also endeavours to inculcate trust and safety in the minds of the inhabitants.
