Introduction

Since the beginning of centuries, an important role is played by wars in the history development. Harshness and barbarism are considered to be the chief characteristics of any war; a fact cannot be ignored that if hundreds of wars have not taken place in history, the situation of the earth would hardly resemble what it is today. Their effect on the history is to such an extent that it would not be wrong to ascertain that wars have been crucial to the word history. Seven years' war is not an exception to all this discussion. Although the war had occurred almost 3000 years ago, the effects of the war can still be felt on the present world. The following sections of this research paper highlight the origin, background, the impact of seven years wars on each of the participating country along with the associated outcomes.

Discussion

The seven years' war has been given the status of military wars that took place in the period between 1756 and 1763, having a participation of many great powers of that time and affected number of countries. Histiography of some countries indicates that these wars cover many famous combats, such as French Indian war, Pomeranian War etc. Different nomenclature is used for seven years wars in different cultures. North American conflict is highlighted by the name of seven years' war in the context of the cultures of Canada, France and United Kingdom. The North American portion of the war which was initiated in the year 1754 is popularly considered as French and Indian War in the terminology of United States. Many scholars in United States instead of calling these wars with the term of theatres simply refer to the conflict as seven years' war. Indians call the conflict with the name of Third Carnatic War, while Third Silesian War is the terminology used to describe the fight between Prussia and Austria. Just like number of earlier conflicts, the war was also given the label of First World War.

Origin of Seven Years' war

Resentment was the major reason that gave origin to seven years' war. The resentments between Great Britain and Bourbons that was given rise because of the colonial interest overlap in their trade empires have made the situation aggressive.
