Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyze various forms of decrees against the sexual predators in the Florida state. This paper will attempt to highlight the key points of laws related to sexual predator and the level of punishments under the law implemented in the state of Florida. In addition to this, the paper will brief on the severity of punishment along with nature and execution of criminal regarding the topic. Moreover, the paper inspects nature of law verdict on such crime cases and basic requirements of prosecution. Finally, the personal opinion regarding the topic is included with conclusion.

Discussion

Since the beginning of American Common law, sexual offenses including forced rapes and sodomy have widely been recognized. However, in classification law sodomy is used as generic regarding the sexual act with the animal. Every state has law to register the sexual predators according to the laws, but yet not viable. The numbers of victims is increasing day by day as despite increase in the education and awareness regarding every basic thing. On the other hand, the increasingly advancing technology development has never been caught through any law, i.e. offenders are making good use of technology to expose the victims to the relative content, thus resulting in the safety and privacy violation of the public. The bad thing is that cyber law has not been strong enough to shield the contents and right of the public.

If we analyze the statistics according to Staticbrain (2013), the number is 747408 for the total registered sex offenders in the United States. Further the report authenticates that the percentage of people those will commit non-sexual crime after release from jail is 70%. This shows the highest percentage even after the person released from jail, which is serious concern as it does not guarantee the safety of the public. Florida has the rate of 311 per 100,000 of sex offenders, but the highest rate is booked for Delaware 517 per 100,000. On the other hand, Peninsula is registered with lowest rate of around 94 per 100,000.
