Slavery during Civil War

Introduction

There were major movements and events occurring all over the world after the World War II. One of such events which affected the history of America was the Civil War. Civil War is not just an event but result of various other events which resulted in the years of Civil War (Ranney p. 7-12). The consequences of the civil war were also very major and multiple. Among the various major movements of the Civil War one was the problem of slavery. Enslavement of Blacks was the major concern after the Independence of America from European colonization it was the main demand of the Blacks to be granted freedom. This led to the various freedom and anti-slavery movements.

These anti-slavery movements and enslavement problems of the African American were against the rules of treating Blacks as servants and not allowing any rights to them(Mitchell, p.18). This was the major issue concerned with the inferior treatment with Blacks. There was no right to them, they were not allowed to attend the Churches of White and neither allowed any social equality with the Whites. There were strict rule against the marriage between Blacks and White and in most of the States like Georgia it was considered illegal (Ranney p. 7-12). There was separate education system for Blacks and Whites and Blacks were not allowed to register in institutions for White. There were various events which affected the during the Civil War era.

During the Civil War major Changes were occurring in the history of America. There were major changes occurring in the history of America. Since the colonization the Africans were brought in the America to be treated as slaves to these White people. There were major events and changes at the social and political level. One of the major events of that period was the presidential election of Abraham Lincoln (Burlingame, p. 20-23). It was the beginning of the anti-slavery movements. There were various changes in the U.S. constitution and other political structures. There were also various feminist movements and different other communities some of them supporting anti-slavery and some were against it. Slavery was not the only reason which resulted in the Civil War. There were various major changes occurring in the constitution which affected the Slavs and Slavery at time.

Presidential Election of 1860 and Lincoln

One of the major events of the Civil War was the presidential election of 1860. Abraham Lincoln was elected as the president of the United States. Lincoln and his political party were mainly aimed to prevent the slavery. There were oppositions faced by the Lincoln in order to prevent these people from slavery (Burlingame, p. 20-23).
