Social Change

Introduction

A lot of changes take place in this world and one of them is the social change. It is defined as the change that occurs in the structure of the society and social practices. The world is fast changing due to these changes that are introduced in the society with the passage of time. These changes tend to affect the overall social condition of the world. A number of new social trends are introduced, while a number of social trends are abandoned as well. There are a number of factors that are responsible for the introduction of changes in the society, besides population. These include the environment and the urban culture and practices.

The evolution of science and technology has also contributed to the social changes. Before this evolution, a number of tasks were not only considered difficult, but almost impossible. But, now the situation has changed to a great extent due to the technological evolution. Inventions continued to be made due to this rapid advancement in technology and this has had a remarkable impact on the society. Perhaps it won't be wrong to say that a lot of social changes have been introduced due to these inventions (Marcuse & Van Kempen, 2011).

In this paper, an attempt would be made to analyze how population, environment and urban society impact and contribute to the social changes in general. Their key impacts on society and changes in society would be highlighted to have a clear understanding of the topic.
