Introduction

The armed force of the United States has a broad scope for the youth of the country. The most prior role of the United States army is to defend the country and protect its citizens. In order to that, there are numerous measures that have to be taken, regardless of the socialist perspective. The army of the United States serve the US military's branch which is land based. §3062 of Title 10 US Code defines the purpose of the army as:

Show support for the policies set by the nation.

Work to implement the objectives set by the nation.

Ensuring the safeguard of security and peace as well as provide for the country's defense, the defense of the possessions of the common wealth and defending any region which has been occupied by the United States.

The structure of the US army relies on 3 major elements which include the regular army, the army reserve as well as the National Guard (Mooney, L. A., Knox, D., & Schacht, C. 2011). The army reserve and the National Guard are known to be reserve components of the United States and consist of part time soldiers who are provided training once a month. This is known as unit training assemblies (UTAs) and battle assemblies. This requires up to around 2 to 3 weeks of training on an annual basis.

To be in the United States army is a matter of high prestige as well as dignity. It is considered that an ex-army officer would not be disciplined but would also be strict and stubborn to the beliefs that it has adopted. This is one of the main things which the army tends to implanted in to the personality of the individual. Apart from that, the soldiers at any rank in the US army are taught to sacrifice themselves for the love of their families as well as their country (Mooney, L. A., Knox, D., & Schacht, C. 2011). This is one of the primary aspects why the army is respected throughout the country. An important thing to note here is that when an individual enters into the army, it is looking to progress, as for the individual, this is a career and a profession which it has to do for the majority of its life. In order to grow in to the army there are various things to consider. These things are defined below.

There are various challenges and problems for the advancement in the army of the United States from the perspective of socialists. One of the biggest issues faced by the soldiers is the level of communication at each stage. The seniors or the leaders are responsible for the decision making and the soldiers or the juniors are supposed to follow. This is how the disciplined is formed within the army.
