Spanking refers to give punishment to children in order to change his/her behavior in positive manner. But, this concept does not help always in making a child disciplined. Most of the people assume that spanking or hitting a child is the best way to treat the spoiled behavior of a child and spanking or hitting children will only bring the desired behavior of a child. There are several cases in which children show extreme aggressive and arrogant behavior but this does not imply that they should be spanked a lot by their parents, rather they would have facilitate him and understand their behavior and let him know the difference between the right and wrong. This research paper focuses on finding the concept of spanking and then the effects of spanking on little children. This research paper emphasize on identifying spanking and the effects of spanking on little children and how some of them tend to become aggressive and impulsive while those who are not spanked are not aggressive and impulsive.

Concept of Spanking

The concept of spanking refers to a situation in which; a child hitting open hand in the buttocks, arms or legs, without causing physical harm with a desire to change the behavior of the child. She emphasizes that it is not an advocate of spanking, but in the absence of evidence of their harmfulness, considered to be unjustified legal prohibition on corporal punishment. Leading the charge against the harmfulness of other studies justifying spanking is that it does not distinguish them from the punishment of moderate violence, abuse, coupled with a direct threat to the physical and mental health of the child. Spanking punishment is part of "traditional" when a child has done something wrong (Marshall, 2002). There are those who are for this mode of punishment, with a bias to give a strict upbringing for their children, and there are those who are opposed, and are more "permissive".
