Introduction

This paper intends to provide a meta analysis for starting up an alumni association. Alumni are important and integral part of every educational institution and organizations; therefore educational institutes must make effective associations to maintain an underlying bond with its alumni. This meta analysis revolves around the creation of an alumni association. I believe alumni associations are important enough to establish and maintain lifelong relationships with old students and old employees. Alumni associations also provide opportunities to old students and old employees to get together and share their experiences of lives. Therefore, I intend to conduct a meta analysis for the purpose of opening up an alumni association. This particular paper will cover the most important aspects in relation with the meta analysis like the literature review, methodology, limitations and many other important aspects. This paper will provide a brief outline about the important issues related to starting up an alumni association. The readers will certainly get an idea about what the alumni association intends to do and how the opening up of an alumni association will be facilitated.

Purpose Statement

The need of alumni associations is realized by everyone who faces difficulties in their lives and intends to have a place or forum where they can communicate in order to have solutions. I find the need for opening up alumni association extremely relevant. Therefore; the purpose of this paper is to conduct a meta analysis for opening up a successful alumni association.

Literature Review

Alumni associations are basically established to promote the spirit of loyalty and also to cater the underlying welfare of the educational institutes and the organizations. Similarly, there are various fields in which alumni associations are setup (Talbert, 1962). The most important fields which employ the setups of alumni associations are educational institutes and business organizations. Educational institutes tend to setup alumni associations in order to promote lifelong relationship with students and also to help students communicate with extended number of people and gain benefit out of it. On the other hand, the alumni associations within the business environment are made to support the organizational goals and also to create strong relationships between alumni, communities and the organizations (Talbert, 1962).

Since this paper deals with a meta analysis of opening up alumni associations; the basic requirements to start up an alumni association needs to be explored and discussed. The most important requirement to start up and maintain an effective alumni association is the enthusiasm to take the initiative and to sustain it all along (Bell, 2010). Running an alumni association is not a one day job; therefore, sustaining the enthusiasm and willingness to run the alumni association is important. Another important requirement is to find people who are willing to participate within the activities of the alumni association (Chambers et al 1998).
