Strategic Management

Testing of hypothesis

In this part of proposal, three hypothesis will be tested from the article I “The state of strategic management research and a vision of the future” and the article II “What is a strategic management, really? Inductive derivation of a consensus definition of the field”. The hypothesis that will be tested are defined as follows:

H0: Utilization of statistical tools can help researchers in getting improved outcomes in their researches on the subject of strategic management (Hitt et.al, 2004)

H1: Integration of qualitative and quantitative approach enhance the results of research in the field of strategic management

H2: A wide variety of definitions of strategic management create acute fragmentations in the field (Nag et.al, 2005)

The independent variable in H0 is utilization of statistical tools and the independent variable is the improved outcomes in strategic management researches. The independent variable in H1 is the qualitative and quantitative approaches and the dependent variable is enhanced results of strategic management research. The independent variable in H2 is the wide variety of strategic management definitions and the dependent variable is acute fragmentations in the strategic management field.

As far as hypothesis 1 (H0) is concerned, the independent and the dependent variables are expected to be negatively related to each other. There is a casual relationship between the two variables. As far as hypothesis 2 (H2) is concerned, the independent and the dependent variables are expected to be positively related with each other. There is a There is a casual relationship between the two variables. As far as hypothesis 2 (H2) is concerned, the independent and the dependent variables are expected to be positively correlated with each other. There is a correlated relationship between the two variables.
