Introduction

Computer is an Electronics device which takes input from the user, processes it and generates output. It is programmable devices which can be programmed by a user to take the desirable output. First computer was invented between 1940 and 1945. These computers usually consumed more power and occupied the size of the room. Modern computers are smaller in size and are more efficient. They are integrated circuits and can be fit into a mobile. Tablet computer is the main invention in the recent times which has a power unit, monitor display and integrated circuitry on a single unit. A virtual keyboard is usually used for typing and touch screen facility means that there is no need for a mouse (Shailandra Singh et.al 2010 Pp 1-9). Recently, Tablet Computer's sale has seen a significant growth and it is estimated that their sale will overcome the sale of Personal Computers by 2016. This report will analyse the benefits of deploying Tablet computers in different organizations will predict its future. The research medium used will be Internet and Research papers.

Market Trend

On an Earning Conference in January 2012, Apple CEO Tom Cook said “I truly believe, and many others in the company believe, that there will come a day that the tablet market in units is larger than the PC market”. Many Business and educational institution need updated documents and textbooks. The work of printing documents is also great. The cost of such expenses gives rise to the use of Tablets computers. Tablet computers are lighter in weight and therefore paper documentation can be kept electronically. Tablet computers sales in year 2013 is 2.35 billion units, which was 5.9 percent increase from year 2012. On the other hand, personal computers market faced some decline of 10.6 percent from year 2012 (Patently Apple, 6 nov2013) (see Appendix 1.1). As trends shows, it is obvious that Tablet computers will sooner or later overcome the Laptops or Personal computer's market due to the facilities it is providing. Tablets usually available in markets have a minimum of 256Mb of memory, but the latest versions are also available with 1 GB of RAM. Users of the tablets can also upgrade the memory of the Tablet by purchasing extra memory cards. Some Tablets for example one APPLE Tablets allow a user to save the files online using cloud computing. In order to access the file again, Internet connection is necessary.

Business Organizations

Portable devices such as Tablet PC can increase the Business productivity. They are a combination of smart phones and Computers. Business people require lots of travelling. They have to meet with their clients during the working hours. Tablet computers have allowed them to do their work while travelling. Tablet computers are compatible with the software like MS Office (Barnis, Richard 2004 Pp 2-8). Hence user can make business related document very easily and efficiently.
