Abstract

The objective of this study is to focus on the exploration of the idea of “emerging technologies” in a holistic framework. The main aim of the paper is to analyze the “emerging technologies” as well as the implications it poses from the industry of health care. In addition to that, different facets of emerging technologies in the healthcare are analyzed, along with their possible effects on the whole industry. Lastly, the description regarding the applications of nano technology as well as the RFID in the health care industry is provided.

The main objective of the paper is to highlight the already used as well as the new emerged technologies that are being implied in to the health care industry. The paper focuses to investigate the rising of various emerging technologies as well as their adoption in the health care. This has been done to aid the adequate regulation of the industry of health care. In the modern period of globalization, the appearance of the technology is a broadly agreed experience. It has been able to aid numerous processes and procedures and have managed to reveal the new possibilities and promises for the industry of health care. The technology's adaption has facilitated the procedure of the treatment of the patients as well as discovering new cures for several diseases, which are known to be chronic.

In the US, the industry of health care is known to be a fast growing business. It has also provided substantial business to the builders who have aided in the development of the infrastructure. From 2010 up to 2015, it is speculated that the segment of information technology in healthcare will be enhanced by 29 percent. The vertical segment of the healthcare is considered to regulate different segments of businesses consisting of all sizes. In addition to that, all the groups of the products have been witnessed to be growing quickly and providing substantial business to different markets in the US (Goldsmith, 1992).

It is predicted that as more and more technologies are being used to diagnose different kinds of illnesses, the Health Care system of the US is likely to witness a substantial decrease in its costs. The current estimates of the expenses of the health care in the US have been over 75 percent of the national expenditures. It has been argued that the emergence of new technologies have been able to make the modern medicines redundant. This is also likely to facilitate an improvement in the interpersonal relationship between the provider and patient. This is mainly because the technologies have allowed the providers to provide efficient treatment, better care as well as more time to the patients.
