Such organizations limit themselves and survive through a series of temporary incarnations. The idea works best when the economic conditions are uncertain and the corporate world bears several threats against the survival. Here the temporary companies have immense opportunities to get hold onto the temporary targets and make use of the exposed situation to attain the targets. It helps the organizations revert and lessen the threats prevailing in the market. The differentiating features of temporary organizations help the resources to be allocated at most demanding commodities or essentials and save the ones that may not be needed at present. Distinguishing Features of Temporary Organizations

According to Dietrich et al. (2007, pp.1-15), a project that works as a temporary organization implies that it tend to assert the concept of time management and allocation as one of the four distinguishing characteristics of the temporary organizations which differentiate them from permanent nature of the organizations. The other four characteristics include time, task, team and transition. In short it is a little complicated effort in order to attain particular aims and objectives in the span of pre-set schedule, and budget. This typically cuts across organizational alignment but does not need to be repetitive in the same organization. Most recently, it has been expanded to address the implications of products and services. The word temporary itself implies the meaning that a project has to have its ending point, whereas, unique indicates the products or the services are differing in comparison to some distinguishable way from the pool of similar products and services. On the other hand, the expectations increase from the projects and the element of success becomes the imperative part of the short journey.
