“The Purloined Letter” by Edgar Alan Poe

Introduction

The story begins somewhat unclear, because the police do too trust two men questions, the policeman tells of a letter of utmost importance that no one knows who wrote it and was stolen from a palace, only the person stole it was very obvious, and he realized that he was stealing was not able to stop the thief. Paris police are cunning, stealth has developed plans to be discovered, and however, when reviewing the bedroom of the person who stole retailers are reviewing each of the belongings of the alleged thief. Without giving favorable results, the police try to explain all the sites are reviewed and questions should also look for places, so they decide to do another review. Then he knows that one of the protagonists has the letter and gives it in return for a check. (Bretzius, 679-691)

Oland Barthes R (1990) in The semiological adventure notes that language is both structured and infinite. This might seem a contradiction would not be so because, as Barthes suggests, each text would be possible to be interpreted in endless ways, each of which possess their own organization and significance with regard to their contents. Then we could ask ourselves would only correct and Lacan's proposition (1984) when he says, in "seminar` The Purloined Letter, '"it means" the purloined letter, is that a letter always arrives at its destination ? Barthes's answer should be yes and no. Yes, because Lacan has strung together a series of situations under which your interpretation is the correct one. No, because there would be many more.

Every letter that purports to be consistent should possess a text printed on it. In the case of our story reveals not its content, but it is possible to infer that it would be a letter which compromises the relationship of the queen with his king, perhaps a lover or a love letter. On the other hand, we know that the word "letter" in English can be translated into Spanish as "letter" and "letter." Under these two considerations, I propose that what has been lost to the queen, and the way to detective Dupin, corresponds to writing 1 , whose origin is the "letter" and that, after an oversight, has been stolen by a bourgeois with the sole purpose of profiting from it.

The scene of the theft occurs in the real office. The Queen has received a letter from a suspected lover and soon makes his appearance on King, who, careless, does not see the existence of the simulation. But, is it that the king was not aware of the situation or, to attract to him a nasty accident that would inevitably slow down and ...
