Introduction

Many components have assisted to the formulation and building of modern-day American government. Among these components, some very vintage authorities for example Athens and Rome have assisted concepts and structures. Although numerous dissimilarities live between these very vintage authorities and America, there are still numerous similarities. The authorities of Athens, Rome, and America have numerous dissimilarities, whereas Athens and Rome assisted numerous concepts to the formulation of American government. (Charles, 86)

The political schemes renowned as “democracy” and “republic” were conceived and entitled round 3,000 years before in Ancient Greece. The phrase democracy arises from the Greek phrase demos, significance “the people”. A democracy is a political scheme in which the persons of a homeland rule. The phrase republic arises from the Latin res publica, which literally entails “the public thing”. A republic is a pattern of government that is founded on the notion that sovereignty resides in the persons, (Vanhanen, 135) who delegate power to vote into agency representatives and agents to direct in their behalf. Although at the start glimpse a factual republic appears to be very alike to a factual democracy, really the major issue of both schemes of government is self direct, in detail, there are numerous dissimilarities between them. This paper will analyze the authorities of Ancient Athens and Ancient Rome, (Charles, 140) and expressly the dissimilarities between the two types of government in these countries. A comprehending of these dissimilarities can assist interpret why Athens evolved into a democracy, and Rome evolved into a Republic.  The Athenian government is recounted as unique. "The Athenian political scheme was and is unique. The Athenian government was the world's first democracy" (Falmouth, 65). The boss piece of the government was exclusive at its time. The Ecclesia comprised of all Athenian people, who were free men who belongs to land. These persons were to blame for voting into agency their Archons and Strategic. They furthermore considered and cast a vote on the Council's legislation (Hintze, 36). Athens' judicial scheme comprised of no solicitors, or judges. Defendants offered their own case to a committee of their gazes, who passed a ruling. Some widespread punishments passed by the committee were penalties, provisional decrease of citizenship, exile, or death (Nardo). (Charles, 111)
