Background of the Study

As a part of global civil society, microfinance is subject to the same ideological and practical questions and criticisms. It has been heralded as an alternative to failed state-led development programs of the past, and therefore existing outside the troubled state apparatus. Proponents argue microfinance provides necessary financial services to those unfairly left out of economic growth. However, microfinance is also deeply rooted in neoliberal Capitalist ideology, and opponents assert it continues the tradition of ill conceived development that further marginalizes those it purports to assist. The shortcomings of past international development programs implemented by big aid agencies such as the World Bank and the United Nations have been well discussed by many. The objective of this dissertation is to analyse the benefits microfinance Institutions bring to a developing economy and what their impact is on the local community, and also to evaluate the awareness Microfinance is creating to foreign investors and more stable economies. Under the light of the above mentioned objective writer wants to accomplish the following aims.

Aims and Objectives of the Study

Before starting on the course of the research, a researcher has to decide upon the aims and objectives of the research study, which would help the researcher in conducting the research. The aims and objectives act like a guide for the researcher through which the researcher can deduce research questions. The aims and objectives of this research study are as follows. The objective of this dissertation is to analyse the benefits microfinance Institutions bring to a developing economy and what their impact is on the local community, and also to evaluate the awareness Microfinance is creating to foreign investors and more stable economies. Under the light of the above mentioned objective writer wants to accomplish the following aims.
