The Deviance of a Sexual Relationship between a Teacher and a Student

Introduction

Deviant behavior involves in violation of social customs which are usually, unacceptable, therefore, a warrant of disapproval agrees by the majority of society. Such behavioral acts can be categorized as crimes during some occasions (www.cliffsnotes.com). Majority of Americans believes that indulging in alcoholism, public nudity, stealing, prostitution etc; as deviant. People who perform such acts known are as deviants. Deviant activity is the mode of transferring and exposing through different mediums such as, electronic, print etc; content that consists of violence and other socially unacceptable acts. They represent in a way that the majority of us accept it as entertainment without noticing that we are conditioned to it. Deviant behavior involves adapting behavior which is socially not acceptable and against the social norms and its values, therefore it is widely disapproved by the masses. People who perform such acts are known as deviants.

Sociologists use the term deviance to refer to an in- transgressions seem disparate, and disapproved of conduct marginal people. The discussion of this paper focuses on the deviance of a sexual relationship between a teacher and a student.

Incest is most generally defined as sexual activity between closely related persons and has been subject to taboo in almost every known society. It may occur between childhood siblings, between consenting adults, and in the form of familial sexual abuse. It is assumed that incest occurs more frequently than it is reported. Familial sexual abuse is the most frequently reported form of incest, although its actual prevalence is impossible to assess because of secrecy, shame, and fear of being blamed. Father-daughter incest is the most commonly reported form of sexual abuse in the family, while mother-son incest is the most infrequently documented.

Sexual Abuse of Children

Sexual abuse of children can involve a single act or take place over the course of many years. Often it involves no overt force, and is made possible by the younger person's love for the parental figure and innocent assumption that this older person could not intentionally harm them. It frequently begins gently and inconspicuously, as unobtrusive touching or fondling, then increases in intensity over time into more overt sexual activity.
