The History and Characteristics of "Dixie"

Introduction

Change is the only thing that remains constant. This fact can be seen highlighted in any and every aspect of life. From the climatic conditions in any region to the change in water level of any sea, everything and every factor varies with the passage of time. Not even the geographical boundaries of any sate have ever been known to stay the same since forever. With the birth of any new independent and sovereign country, new geographical boundaries are set both literally and figuratively. Even within an individual country for whatever reason, the amendments made in the aspects related to the geographical location of any province or state can bring changes in the previously established boundaries.

Discussion

The past shows many incidents and examples of a country or state that has experienced various changes in terms of its internal geographical structure on the basis of factors influenced by culture or other geographical factors. United States of America, too, have experienced the evolving of many such geographical developments within its boundaries. One of these is commonly known as Dixie. Also known by the names “slave belt,” or “black belt,” this portion of land even has a song associated with it. With the name of the title as “Dixie”, the song remains one of the most well recognized patriotic songs of all times. This basically points out the significance and importance of the history and other associated factors this region once enjoyed.

Within the United States of America, Dixie holds the status of definite geographical locations in terms of definite and well defined regions. Seceded from Confederate States of America, Dixie is said to be the 11 Southern States. These states includes South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina and Tennessee. This is how the dynamics of this region is defined by all the traditional and loyal Southerners. Moreover, this definition is also strongly and authentically correlated and compatible with the History.

Sentimental Values of Traditional Southerners

With the passage of time as the years passed by, the locations, boundaries and dynamics of Dixie's, has started to become more mercurial, limited and vermicular. In today's time, it is more frequently associated with all those regions of United States of America in the southern regions, where legacies, memories and traditions associated with the Confederate Experience and the Antebellum South still lives and exists more strongly.

The historical relevance and importance of the event taking place in the evolvement of the region and sentimental importance of the region itself is commonly experienced in various regions s of Southern parts of United States of America.
