The Impact of Ethics and Social Media on Cloud Computing in the Federal Government
Abstract
The term cloud computing is used for a service that provide access to information stored on a particular location by means of internet. Cloud computing is one of most important benefits of internet. Most of the private and government organizations use this concept of file sharing to share data all over the world. Federal government of US uses cloud computing in different departments like security, finance, education, power generation etc. It also uses social media sites to promote their motive of politics. The utilization of social media may risk privacy of Federal government organizations. It is necessary for all organizations to adopt this modern technique of information sharing over the internet and to take most of available resources. The adoption of cloud computing requires the associations have eagerness on different dimensions including process analysis, governance, standardization of hardware and software, applications modernization and rationalization, and improvement. Readiness or eagerness determines the boundaries of government using cloud computing programs with major objectives being infrastructure service, proof of perceptions, and service of enterprise service, platform service, and virtual desktop. There are many models, advantages, and disadvantages of cloud computing. It is necessary for Federal Government in order to get multiple benefits from this technology to implement these models according to the requirement of infrastructure and try to overcome the disadvantages by applying different techniques.

Internet is one of the most important inventions of modern world. The concept of cloud computing is related to this invention. Sharing of information in different departments is common in organizations. Cloud computing is required in organizations when sharing of file is required internationally. It is a revolutionary information sharing or sending method.
Most of the individuals have perception about this technology that it is a new technology but it is also a fact that it is accepted as advancement of technologies like World Wide Web, networking and client server architecture. It is also use as a metaphor for internet; “the cloud” is a well-known term, but when use in combination with “computing,” the meaning gets diverse and bigger. Some analyst also called this technology as a modernized edition of utility computing, in essence virtual servers existing over the internet.
In Federal Government organizations cloud computing can play an important role in sharing the precious information regarding government to other users all over the world. It enables easy and on demand access to files, and shared computing resources, rapid deployment like servers, services, applications, and networks. It is the responsibility of Federal government to provide facilities throughout the country even though a small town or village.
