Introduction

The United Kingdom consists of four countries, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Some of the laws are applied all over the United Kingdom and are the Laws that are developed by each country and are not applied in other countries of United Kingdom. The laws made by the countries are divided into two sections some of them are public laws that shows the relationship between the citizens of the country and its government. The other distinction of the law is the private laws that are to define the relationship between the individuals of the society and the private organisations in the society. There are different categories of Laws that have been developed for the citizens of the whole United Kingdom. The laws that will be discussed in detail in the other part of the report are common law, criminal laws and civil laws. There are courts which here the matter of any violation of any law civil, common or criminal by the citizens.

Discussion

United Kingdom which is divided into for countries, have some laws that are to be followed by everyone living in these countries and some laws are followed in or two countries but not in the other countries of United Kingdom. There are different laws obeyed in these countries like civil law, common law and criminal law.

According to Elliot, (2012) the common law which is called for the same legal system that is followed in England and Wales and the decisions of the senior Appellate court became the part of the legal system. The common laws is prescedented by the senior judges siting in the courts and unlike other laws common law always changes because this law does not rely on the certain text and has statuary status.
