The Need for Gun Control

Introduction

The need for gun control has been for long in the United States which is why the topic has been under debate since a long time. The United States has formulated a law according to which the use of gun is restricted. The government of the country should make sure that the common man does not have access to guns in all conditions. Not much restriction has been placed on the use of guns which is why it is important to make sure that a law si enforced that will restrict the use of guns as they are being used inappropriately by many people which includes the police, as well. The second amendment of the United States Constitution states that: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Significance of the Need for Gun Control

Although a law has been formulated, the government needs the people to act accordingly and not let everyone to possess guns. Some people think that they have all the right to possess guns which is not true (Wuest, pp. 19). The need for gun control has been placed to make sure that there is no inappropriate use of guns and people should also make sure that they act according to the law. Although, this law has been passed, but there is still a lot of debate going on, on the same issue. This means that the people of the country possess guns and do not pay much attention to the law that has been passed.
