The Renal System

Introduction

The features of the renal system play a huge role in maintaining homeostasis by changing blood amount, structure, and pressure; hormone production; removing of Metabolic Waste; and Control of Water and Electrolyte Balance.

The renal system consists of two renal system, two ureters, one bladder, and one urethra. The majority water and solutes are returned to the circulation after the renal system filter system plasma. The remaining water and solutes make up urine, which passes through the ureters then to the bladder renal for storage space until it is eliminated from our body system through the urethra (Tortora & Derrickson, 2009).

Kidneys

The kidneys are two similar organs in the stomach hole placed on either part of the spine. They lie in downturns against the deep muscle tissue of the returning beneath the peritoneum, where they are partially protected by the lower rib cage.

The kidneys are bean shaped components and it's reddish-brown in color. They are in the size of a closed fist and covered by tough pills of "floating" fibrous ligament, known as renal pills. The concave part of a renal is known as the renal hilum where the renal system are connected to system circulatory system through a renal artery and renal vein, also a ureter exit the kidney towards the bladder (Mader, 2004).

Two unique areas can be acknowledged if we look at the front area through the kidney: an exterior, light red area known as the renal cortex and an in-depth, deeper reddish-brown inner location known as the renal medulla. Several cone-shaped renal pyramids made up the renal medulla. Together, the renal cortex and renal pyramids of the renal medulla comprise the parenchyma of the kidney. About one thousand instant elements within the parenchyma are the running systems of the kidney. These efficient systems are known as nephrons (Carlson, 2004).

The primary architectural device of the renal is the nephron under high magnification; the regular human kidney is involves over one thousand nephrons.

A single nephron has a separate circulation, with two capillary areas. An afferent arteriole goes to the glomerulus from the renal artery, a capillary vessels tuft inside the glomerular pills. System making the glomerulus goes into the efferent arteriole. The blood is taken to peritubular capillary system via the efferent arteriole, which encompasses the rest of the nephron.
