The System Analysis and Design

An interview with the Chief Accountant, Subordinators and Customers

The interview is the most important part of the system analysis process. In order to update the accounting operations and procedures of my digital camera manufacture company at the stage of system analyzing and designing. I intend to take an interview with the chief accountant. This interview may provide sufficient information about his new requirements and satisfactory level in the process of accounting. The interview is an interactive method used for information gathering, which is based on some objectives. The interviews will also be conducted from the accountant's subordinators and customers as well. The interview objectives will be different for all the participants, the accountant, the subordinator, and the customers.

Approach the chief accountant to set up an interview.

The interview with the chief accountant consists of the few main processes that include, approaching the accountant that requires prior information gathering, planning for interview to achieve objective of the interview. The interview of accountant is important to obtain data and information about his opinions and feelings about the existing system and new requirement.

I will approach the chief accountant directly by visiting him

I would use the open-end approach for the interview questions.

I would develop an understanding of accountants' job through question that includes both bipolar and probes.

The most of the questions will be probing in order to get a detailed information and clarification to expand and draw out conclusions for implementation.

The questions will be arranged according to the priorities, means the most important question are placed at in the beginning and then the other questions.

The question will not be controversial and the aim of interview is to provide the maximum advantage of relevant information for appropriate system designing.

The questions will be accurate and direct to avoid ambiguity, confusion and flaws in the future system

The questions will be consistent will the current system and the accountant will be give chance to define and explain the problem in their own way.

Structure of the interview

The structure of the interview will be based on the diamond-shaped, which means

The interview will start with the closed questions, or very specific questions about the issues.

Then move towards the more general or open-ended questions about the system

Then again closed or specific questions are asked at the end of the interview.

The diamond structure concludes with the specific issues by combining the qualities of the funnel and pyramid structures.

It may take longer time span then the pyramid and funnel structures but, provides more accurate information for the further processing.

The subordinates

There are four subordinators of the chief accountant so the interview will be conducted to obtain the ...
