This book provides a dietary path in order to permanently lose weight, reset the genetic code of an individual, prevent any kind of disease in an individual, attain better physical performance and improve mental efficiency. The author of this book is Dr. Barry Sears, he is the founder of biotechnology, and he developed drug delivery systems for heart patients and cancer patients. In this book, there is an absolute superfluity of diet related material.

According to this book, the zone is an outcome for several years of testing, application and research. Initially, it sounds very good to be true, that a dietary plan that benefits largely health of an individual, improves physical performance, psychological acuity, and greatly supports in healing for severe diseases. The book shows that at present, the common dietary practice is that any type of fat is not good for health, therefore an individual must take little amount of fat. Several food brands spend large amount of money to come out with fat free and low fat products. The wonderful from of clean food product is carbohydrate; an individual must take carbohydrates in abundance. Practices of taking protein vary based on the believed program. Few diet plans recommend large intake of protein, whereas others plans advice individuals to slow the intake of protein. Depending on what and how individual eats, and the extent of physical exercise, an individual can either burn fat or not.
