Introduction

Roosevelt, In his life, (1858 - 1919) he had been the president of United States of America, Conservationist, Statesman, Historian, Soldier, Civil Servant, Author, and Adventurer, after being assassinated in a campaign rally, he completed his 90-minute speech before seeking medical attention. Roosevelt was the 26th president of United States of America, a renowned politician and speech maker. In his era of the presidency during 1902 to 1908, he gave the ideology of progressivism. His struggle for social justice, especially for labor against wealthy businesses abuses, for helping to build a modern welfare state in US will be remembered. There were very few potential for the U.S. president to promulgate government decision making where the government was under the domination of businesses, political machineries, and the legislation, his presidency changes the government policies forever. He fought against exploitation of natural resources by the private sector. He, in his administration, doubled the area of land set for national parks. He combined interest in military affairs with an interest in expansion in foreign policy. He struggled to strengthen U.S. army and increased the navy force to defend America's presence in Caribbean and Pacific region. He was the believer of “…the virtue of honesty and efficiency in politics…the virtue of consideration and fair dealing in business…and especially as between the man who is the employer and the man who is employee.”(Stacy A Cordery, p.64) He stated in his autobiography, our forestry system need to be developed on scientific principles. We cannot suffer anymore cut of woods and drying up of water sources. (Roosevelt. T, 1913). Further, in 1906 for arbitrating an end to Russo-Japan war, he achieved Nobel Peace Prize; he was the first American who achieve it. However, the administration of Theodore Roosevelt transform the traditional role of the presidency into a modernize role and transform newly born American industrial nation to a super power. Roosevelt saw the role of the United States as active, energetic and strong. Roosevelt knew that the role of a civilized nation is to supervise the affairs of inferior ones. He acknowledged that America had power over the Central America and Caribbean Basin.

Early life

Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858 in a wealthy family, he was suffering from asthma in his childhood but had great intellectual capabilities. In childhood, he used to request his father to bring books on natural issues for him. From time to time as Roosevelt exercise the asthma tends to diminish. He spent a lot of time to study nature. He also pursued ornithology study; he spent his time in reading, shooting, collection of skins, and his collection's documentation and recording. He collected lots of journals and transformed his observations in tangible form by sketching of animals he observed.
