Destination Overview

My chosen destination for the in Canada is Ontario; here is the brief overview of the destination. The name “Ontario” comes from indigenous and can be interpreted as shining waters or beautiful lake due to its hydro graphic location. Ontario is surrounded by great lakes to the south by Hudson Bay to the north and bordered by the provinces of Manitoba and Quebec, Ontario became known for its natural beauty and for being home to the largest Canadian city, Toronto, and the largest tourist centre, Niagara Falls (Wurst, 2011, pp. 254-266).

The first were the indigenous peoples who inhabited the banks of rivers. From 1639 Europeans settled in the province and initiated their exploit. Formed by the shield, the motto and the animals that sustain symbolize the region's wildlife. The shell is formed by the cross of St. George, the Maple Leaf (Canadian symbol) and deep green (the province); all symbolize the province's relations with England (Bennett & Lemelin, 2010, pp. 21-35).

The flag of the province was approved in May 1965. There is shown the coat in its right corner and the flag of England on the upper left. From the Arctic to the wild region barren coast of Hudson Bay to the fragrant fruit regions of the Niagara Peninsula, monuments and landscapes of that time, his older establishments the limitless beauty of the Lake Superior region, from the bustling urban centres to quiet landscape Great Lakes, Ontario's landscape is as diverse as its inhabitants.
