Question 1

Determine the numbers, and percentages of students who used each service provider

According to the analysis of the data via the implication of descriptive statistics, it can be asserted that the OM is the service provider whose services are more frequently adapted by the students. The analysis of the data depict that the percentage of students using OM service provider is 24%, the percentage of students using Yellow is 22%, the percentage of students using Modafone is 21.3%, the percentage of students using W-mobile is 18%, the percentage of students using AT mobile is 6.7%, the percentage of students using Verity is 4.7% and the percentage of students using other services not mentioned is the data collection tool is 3.3%.

The results of the data analyzed through descriptive statistics are also illustrated in form of a graph. This graph represents the percentage users that have adapted services of different service providers. There are two forms of graphs (pie chart, bar chart) that have been used to illustrate the findings extracted from the data. The using percentage of students illustrated in form of a graph is enlightened below.

Comment on the results of this question

According to the results extracted from the data via the implication of descriptive statistics, it can be interpreted that OM is the service providers whose services are more likely to be preferred by the sample of this study. OM correspond greater percentage in terms of its services to be used by the students. On the other hands, Verity is the service provider whose services are less likely to be preferred by the sample of the study other than the service providers whose names are not enclosed in data collection instrument. Hence, it can be illustrated that the strategies used by OM are more effective as compared to its competition as its adaptability in the target market is greater.

Question 2

Determine the numbers and percentages of students who gave the various ratings on their service providers

This section of the paper enlightens the rating that has been allotted to the service providers by the students that use their services. According to the statistical analysis of the data via the implication of descriptive statistics, it can be illustrated that majority of the students rated their service providers as good. The analysis of the data depicts that 60.7% of the students believed that their service providers provided good services.

In addition, the second highest percentage of users (15.3%) classified their service providers on the scale of very good. Nonetheless, 13.3% of the students revealed neutral response to this question. However, in terms of poor services provided by the service providers, 4.7% of the students depicted that their service providers offer poor services; in addition, 6% of the users illustrated the services provided as very poor.
