How does this work emphasize the individual over society/culture/religion/royalty, etc? This work emphasizes that that love has no religion, culture or language and that individual should be loved and given more preference irrespective of his religion and culture. It gives precedence to an individual over the religion and culture and royalty. According to it the individual should be respected and loved and that individuality should be considered an important factor and not the religion and the culture. The poem discusses that in a society or a culture the individual is hidden and if one culture or one society is studied the true essence of the individual will not come forward. Therefore, in order to overcome this individual should be given more importance and he should not be evaluated and studied in the perspective of the society or the culture.

The nature plays a very important role in the poems. Most of the poets have written poems on the nature. Most of the poets chose the natural world, because it serves more than two purposes. In this poem, similarly, the poet has used the natural world which gives two meanings.
