VARK Analysis Paper

Introduction

Students in order to become successful beyond their classroom, they should use and retain what they have learned. True learning is when an individual can use the knowledge obtained. Individuals learn in different styles. General people are aware of three main learning styles such as aural, visual, and kinesthetic whereas there are four different learning styles according to VARK model. These five learning styles are Aural, visual, Kinesthetic, and read/write. Learning style of every student is dependent on how well they obtain information and processes it for learning. VARK is a model used to analyzing learning style of students. Neil Fleming and Charles Bonwell developed this model (Schell, 2008). Fleming and Mills in 1992 identified these four categories as a defining experience of their students.

These 4 modalities help students to evaluate their preferred learning style. The valuation can be performed with the help of an online questionnaire. This paper will discuss learning style of the author, preferred learning strategy of author comparison of proffered learning strategy of author to identified strategies, and in the end a change will be suggested to make alteration in the his/her studying habits to ensure effective and efficient learning abilities. The purpose of this paper is to le readers know about the variety of learning approached. This paper will let readers know the best way in which a student can learn and retain useful information. Most importantly when students will know their learning style, they would more effectively be able to store and recall the information obtained.
