Introduction

Warren G. Harding was elected as the twenty ninth President of the United States of America. He served for the period of three years before his death in 1923. After his death, Calvin Cooledge became President and remained in seat till 1929. 'The smoke filled room and the nomination of Warren J. Harding was born on 2nd November 1865 in Ohio. His father was a doctor by profession but his upbringing was done in a farm. He was the eldest child of his parents. He attended the Ohio Central College and graduated at the age of 17. After graduating he worked with newspaper, became a teacher and even tried to work as a salesman. He bought 'Marring Star' newspaper in 1884(www.britannica.com). He gradually began taking interest in public affairs. Harding used to consider himself a gifted orator. In 1889, he was elected as a legislator. He married Florence Kling De Wolfe in the year 1891. While working as a legislator he came across Harry m. Daugherty who guided him in his political career. Harry m. Daugherty pushed him more because he did not want the General Wood to take control of Republics Party. He began getting invitations from wealthy influential people and their organizations. Soon he joined the Republics Party

He was elected as a senator from the state of Ohio in the year 1899. He was also elected as the Lieutenant Governor of Ohio in 1903(http//:totallyhistory.com). He further applied for governorship in 1910 but lost. As a politician he mostly connected himself with the Old Guard. The Old Guard was a wing of the Republics Party. This party always supported the business elites of the United States consequently making itself the most likeable party of the business class. . At the age 20, he was hired as an orator and he gave many speeches in the county and State Republican Conventions. He gave the nomination speech for President Howard Taft in 1912 (http//:totallyhistory.com). He achieved national success when he represented William Howard Taft in Republican Convection in the year 1912. He worked with all his mind and soul in the campaign. In his campaign he slandered Roosevelt and Bull Moose Party. He made a promise of helping the nation stand again after the damages done by World War 1. Furthermore, he favored women and promised to support them and fight for their rights along with them. He also promised to deliver on the expectations of minorities. His effective speeches bore him a fruit in the form of a Senator seat. Due to this Warren was selected as the senator of United States in 1915. He remained senator till 1921.
