Introduction

Human being is a biological organism that belongs to the species of Homo sapiens. It is a creature that is able to provide logical reasoning, develop learning, generate abstract thought, enjoy self-awareness and use of languages. Additionally, human being is capable of handling complex problem solving, culture, create and develop advance technologies and complex social institutions. With the study and discovery of fossil ancestors of modern humans a great change in the meaning of the word 'human' has been observed. In the past the difference between an ape and human was not clear but now with an extensive research this has become possible. In this scientific world the world 'human' is referred to a member of genus Homo.

Discussion

Human beings are those creatures, who have developed from ape ancestors to become a heavily populated species that are able to adjust with the environments by fulfilling their needs and wants fairly than being at the clemency of the environment. Although, human beings share similar traits with animals, they have traits that also set them apart from any other beings. The human brain has an extra section to it that other mammals lack (Trinkaus, 2005).

The neocortex, or frontal lobe, is a section of the brain responsible for humankind's ability to reason and imagine. The cranial capacity of humans is also by far larger than that of their primate ancestors.

The earliest human ancestor, Australopithecus, had a cranial capacity similar to that of a chimpanzee. Anatomically modern humans, on the other hand, have a cranial capacity that is three to four times larger than a chimpanzee's.

The increased mental ability that results from a greater cranial capacity enables humans to be better able to store information and have fine ...
