What Motivates a sports personnel to raise charity for the needed?

ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of motivation towards charity in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on the motivational influences and driving influences, which persuade and motivate belonging to the sports industry to make way for contributing their efforts and funds into charity. The research also analyzes many aspects of charitable contributions made by people involved and interested in the sports industry and tries to gauge its effect on their level of motivation and satisfaction that is derived of this act. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for sportsmen adopting and contributing their efforts and into charity and tries to describe the overall effect of their wise contribution towards charitable organizations and institutions, set up to facilitate the needy.

CHAPTER 03: METHODOLOGY

Research Design

To understand and comprehend the research design which shall be undertaken in this study, our major focus shall be upon a more qualitative, secondary research. It is not because due to time constraint or that the researcher pertains to be under the influence of using qualitative data by default, but since the research study has been tailored with the objective of finding out some common ground between the opponent instances, qualitative study shall provide us with the relevant examples and constructs.

Research Ethics

Ethics has been amongst the widest disciplines that individuals usually tend to overlook. However, the researcher, particularly in the context of this study, is fully aware of the ethical duties and responsibilities imposed and that, it is with the alignment and proximity of ethics, the researcher shall aim to adopt and practice ethics at all levels of research.

Literature selection criteria

For this study, our basic intent of choosing publications and literature shall be upon two major facets: one would be relevance, which is of prime importance to the kind of research undertaken and necessary in order to maintain agreement and compliance of the study. The other would be the year of publication, which shall help us connect with the latest and most recent updates available in the area of charitable institutions being supported and backed by sportsmen and the attempts that are being made by them for the facilitation of these charities.

Search technique

The most time-effective and relevant technique that would be used primarily in this research shall be the online databases available at hand, such as JSTOR, EBSCO, Questia, Blackwell, etc. However, for the purpose of data collection, our basic and most effective tool viable for any qualitative study to prove true is through the adoption and inculcation of questionnaires.
