EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We live in a world today where technological advancements have become rather common and adopted as a daily practice. Although technology has benefited the general public greatly in order to earn an acceptable living standard, it has put worth some serious damages, which are on the verge of becoming the most feared disasters in the near future. Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions is one reason, due to which people working in the environment, be it be any infrastructure, system or setting, are directly or indirectly influenced by the impacts that CO2 emissions are now beginning to show. In the context of research, the main focus undertaken has been kept on for the purpose and objective of understanding CO2 emissions at length and making way for eminent progress. Furthermore, with more countries and states becoming aware of the current condition that the Earth experiences, alongside the overall environmental changes that are visible at this point in time show and narrate that the entire world is now engrossed and is becoming much more aware of their individual and collective responsibilities required and duties needed to recover and revive our ecology and environment to be in a position to sustain life.

CHAPTER 01: INTRODUCTION

Background of the Research

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions have been amongst the most recurrent, yet the most disastrous contribution that has been made to the ecosystem as a result of the activities and industrialized strategies adopted by human beings in the world of technology.

With the excess of this menace, companies and organizations are engrossed in undertaken healing measures and treatments which would somehow lessen and reduce the degree and magnitude of harm that has paved way through the emissions of carbon dioxide within the atmosphere.

Problem Statement

The problem statement undertaken for the compilation of this research study is 'Why companies should reduce CO2 emission in their freight transport?'
