Introduction

William Shakespeare, the first and most famous English playwright, was born April 23, 1564 in Stratford on Avon. William Shakespeare was a famous actor, poet and playwright. He is sometimes known as the Bard of Avon. Shakespeare is considered the most important writer in English and one of the most famous in world literature (Chambers, 1930). The New Encyclopedia Britannica states that "many consider the greatest playwright of all time. His pieces are represented more often and in more nations than any other writer." The works of Shakespeare have been translated into major languages and his plays continue to be represented throughout the world (Shakespeare, 1912). This essay focuses on the factors which makes William Shakespeare a better writer in his Era.

William Shakespeare is the son of John Shakespeare and Mary Arden; his mother came from a wealthy family of the gentry. William probably attended the grammar school in Stratford-upon- Avon. Just one does not know that, because no records or lists of students from that time are gone, but the son of a successful citizen of the city was hardly anything in question as the best attainable education (Kay, 1992).
