Why women go to church more than men?

Introduction

The religious beliefs of most of the individuals are much more like an emotional element rather than like a cognitive thing. For instance, for many people, just thinking about the beliefs of one's religion or faith is most of the time sufficient enough to reveal and expose that they are unwarranted. In this society, the women are usually raised to be a little emotional rather than being cognitive. On the other hand, men are rather expected to be cognitive instead of being emotional. As a matter of fact, in a number of societies, most of the men are actually taught and encouraged to deny or to fight with their emotions. The following paper analyses why women go to Church more than men.

Discussion

As we can see that almost all of the religiously authoritative figures such as the God, Zeus, Allah and many others, are all male. Similarly, the priests, prophets, ministers, rabbis and etc. had also generally been males. From the very beginning, the women were raised and taught to be servile to the mails and to consider and regard the males to be the authorities, therefore, it is much easier for women to accept and acknowledge God as the supreme and ultimate authority and also to subordinate and subject their selves to Him. Therefore, when it comes to men, then the acceptance of God as the ultimate authority and o subordinate their self to Him is not that easy. As far as the beliefs of men are considered, then excluding the element of war (since most of the men consider it right to claim the religious beliefs as far as they are related with war) then the concept of faith is more or less about mortality to them. Women, on the other hand are like the pre appointed moral guardians. Whether they are in the form of wives, who are generally referred to as the better halves by their husbands or whether they are in the form of mothers, who are expected to undertake the most basic responsibility of taking care of the children and to teach them regarding the rights and wrongs of life.

Recently, a survey was conducted in almost seventy countries all over the world in which over 100000 individuals were asked the question that whether they believe in God or not? And regardless of the fact that whether they attend the church or not, would they personally consider themselves as a religious individual, a non-religious individual or would they consider themselves as an atheist? With the exception of a couple of countries, the result of this survey revealed that in almost every country of the world, women are more religious as compared to men. These differences based on the gender prevail in ...
