Introduction

Planning is not only important in an organization, it is also important in everyday life. Human Resource Planning includes collection of information, creating objectives, and decision making to facilitate the company to achieve its objectives (Richards, 2013, p. 34). The reason to manage a human Resource Planning is because of the cost involved, as it forms a significant part of the budget and employees.

Leadership style is an approach to implement plans, provide directions and motivate people. The primary job of the leader is to get best result (Strasbaugh, 2012, p. 67). The main concern for a leader is about the organization's needs and results rather than his personal need. The team leadership is a vast concept which includes within it, the roles, responsibilities, theories and models (Murray, 2012, p. 33). A team is managed by a leader who is described as an individual (or more than one individuals) who is (are) responsible for the direction, instruction, guidance or leadership provision to the team members for the purpose of achieving certain objectives or mutual goals.

This paper demonstrates several functions in Red Cross that have been adopted by the management. It includes recruitment and selection process followed by Red Cross to overboard employees within the organization. It further enhances the leadership styles adopted in the top management to motivate employees and keep them in a team by using teamwork skills. The organization uses performance management system to enhance employees performance and motivating them to improve their developmental needs that can be helpful in future.

Recruitment and Selection

Organization requires to follow a recruitment process to fill a vacancy or new position that contributes to the achievement of the mission and objectives of the company. It is important for a company to hire a right person at right time for the right job (Suzanne & Pascal, 1989, Pg. 56). The decision to hire personnel is strategic for the company. Recruitment is a step by step process that an organization follows to achieve its goal.

Job Description and Profile

Job description includes roles and responsibilities for a job in written for job candidates. It also clarifies the reporting association between immediate command and the position of the job. Job description lists down the list of main activities that an employee has to perform for the required position.

The definition of the job description comprises of three parts, which includes setting goals and objectives of the position; the list of skills and knowledge required for the position; and personal traits and behaviour, desired degree, experience, and specific skills that a candidate must have.
