Introduction

A practice that actually tends to controls the behavior of a student from being immoral to being dangerous is termed as zero tolerance. But, today zero tolerance is termed as one of a harsh way of giving punishment that actually ruin the life of a student. If we look at past, zero tolerance was applied only to stop students from being harsh and with the fear of this practice they were not in a position to bring weapons etc in school, colleges and universities. But, later this practice was actually turned to a harsh practice that is followed by expelling students from colleges or universities and by this their entire education years are affected. For any school, college and university, zero tolerance is no doubt termed as an important practice but it should be applied in an orderly manner with the help of which students can taught how to live and behave accordingly (Erzen, 2001).

Today as a matter of fact, the rate of crime is increasing and this increasing rate is actually creating numerous issues as well. As per one of an important research, crime rate is high in schools and colleges. This is really shocking to know but yet true. In schools and colleges students were actually allowed to do what ever they want to. No one can stop them from doing anything bad and this is the main reason behind the increasing crime rate. But, despite all these facts, today schools and colleges are at the top rates who are applying zero tolerance practices to a greater extent and this is another shocking way that lead towards numerous other harmful affects as well.
