Abstract

The research paper is about a process of “Deforestation”. “Deforestation” is the removal of trees and other plants from forest areas more quickly than they can be replanted or regenerated naturally. It is a problem because of the parts that the trees have to play in stabilizing the climate, atmospheric composition and soil structure.

Deforesting of Rain forest

Introduction

Deforestation every minute fifty hectares of rainforest are destroyed and twenty-five species are extinct, many before they even are able to study. rare plants and flowers that could provide cures for cancer, AIDS and other deadly diseases have been lost forever. Thousands of animals and birds are being killed to make way for vast cattle ranches, buildings and roads in the evenings that are destructive to the environment (Barraclough, 55). Millions of hectares of forest are being cut with catastrophic results. The National Institute for Space Research of Brazil reported that satellite images show the country's Amazon rain continues to be ravaged at an alarming rate.

While deforestation has decreased since the peak year of 1995, slash and burn farming techniques and logging continues to clear an area of 12. 660 km square in 1997. Some environmentalists say the fall of 20% over the past two years due to heavy rains that stood in the way of burning and cutting. The government attributed the reduction of their environmental policies and said that more protection is hindered by legal complications (which I think is a load of bull), various programs and organization are in place to try to preserve and / or save the rainforests of the world together, declare this area a wildlife reserve or endangered species (Barlow, 143).

Discussion and Analysis

The fact that our rainforests are disappearing at a fast pace ultimately could affect the outcome of the human race or the result of life on this planet as we know it. Deforestation affects biological diversity in three ways, the destruction of natural habitat of species that forces outside their place of origin and cause of death. Isolation and fragmentation or restrict its scope, exposing them to the animals that they forgive the disease and extreme temperatures that have not been found beneath the canopy of forest protection (under 63). Deforestation also contributes to global warming and depletion of the ozone layer of the rain forests represent about 40 percent of breathable air in the world and cut each square kilometer also our offer and would like to remind that no air means no time to live (Angelsen, 48).

The reasons for deforestation

There are a variety of reasons why people choose to clear forests for agriculture or cattle pasture seed crops, poor farmers in developing countries to cut a small area of trees and burning them, which provide nutrients to the soil (known as' slash and burn "technique). This supply is exhausted farmers quickly to move to a cooler, and the cycle begins again. This is in a much larger scale for intensive agriculture or ...
