Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Apportionment and redistricting in the US House of Representatives” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “House of Representative” and its relation with “Florida”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Apportionment and redistricting in the US House of Representatives” and tries to gauge its effect on “Redistricting Accomplished in Florida (2011-2012)”.

Introduction

Apportionment is a process in which seats in the United State House of Representative are reallocated amongst the states that together are 50, subsequent constitutionally each authorization census of decennial. A certain number of seats are allotted to each state that communicate total residents share in fifty (50) states. Nevertheless, at least one seat is constitutionally guaranteed. In order words, the political power is given to each state that is divided differently in to the upper house that called Senate and lower house called the House of Representatives. Apportion of seats in the U.S House of Representative (the House) is done on the basis of the relative population that each state comprises to the sum of the whole population of the union. Regions are created by the states through which the legislative body will be nominated in order to provide service to the U.S House of Representatives. Adding together, the selection of the municipal government on the region basis is also fallen for the redistrict.
