Are uniforms a good idea? While a dress code may have its advantages, the institution of a school uniform policy has positive aspects for students and parents both.Uniforms put less emphasis on the situation and help students concentrate on school. Resisting pressure to bring the hip-tags or styles would not be a problem. The peer pressure and media to design clothing has caused students to believe that their brand clothing can bring happiness and acceptance, which is important for all students.

Many believe that the way one looks has a big impact on how he or she is. Uniforms also create equality among children. Children's sense fit in because they all look alike, strengthening self-confidence. Children with high self-esteem do better in school and can lead to increased participation in class. On the other hand, students would no longer waste time choosing the clothes to make an impression.
