Communication Objectives & Channels

There are three communication objectives of Arimount deodorant that are to inform, persuade and remind.

Inform - This objective is aimed to stimulate and create awareness and interest that helps to let the target audience know about Arimount deodorant and where to get the product. For instance, when to target teenagers the company will employ trendy, current and interesting message to reach the market by means of social media networks such as twitter and facebook because teenagers spend more time on internet; therefore, banner advertising and e-mail marketing will be the best option. On the other hand, to target men and women segments the communication message has to be easy to read, informative, concise and clear, so that the targeted audience will understand the product offerings. In order to inform the target audience, BTL (below the line) activities will also used such as free gifts, competition and prizes and others.

Persuade - This objective intends to convince the target audience, which the deodorant will offer the best value to the customers in comparison to its competitors, such as Arimount deodorant offers long duration of wetness. This can be done by offering competitive product offering in terms of features. To persuade target market, strategy of timely offers will be used (Fuller, Bartl, Ernst & Muhlbacher, 2006).

Remind- It is equally important to remind the target consumer by using persuasive and interesting message, subsequently the last objective will be to strike a chord in the mind of customers to actually make a purchase of Arimount deodorant. It is significant to grasp the attention and stay visible to target customers, as the greater buying chances will directly linked to the remembrance of customer.
