Nutrition, Obesity, and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Introduction

The bodies of a human being have the capability to stock power for upcoming use was crucial to endurance when food was insufficient. The main climax is that obesity is considered as the one of major and threatening disease for the majority of people. The doctors and scientist are really working hard to know the actual process of human being, about their use of food and how it leads to obesity. How the excess meal of human being convert in to fat rather in the form of energy. For all these answers scientist are working on it. To overcome this issue the scientist has introduced drugs and targets for the treatment, to restore the energy in the human being's body. The other thing that will be looking into it is to control the obesity (Flier, 2007).

Thesis Statement

Obesity clearly increases cardiovascular disease risk via a number of different routes.

Aim of the Study

The aim of this research study is to discuss the biological basis of energy homeostasis.

Method

The research method to be applied in this study will the secondary research involving the undertaking of study on a qualitative basis. Various online libraries, journals and databases have been researched and reviewed in order to gain an extensive insight and comprehension of the issue being studied. Some of the examples of databases to be used include Google Scholar, Academia Search Premier, EbscoHost, and other relevant websites will be explored This research is going to utilize the qualitative method of research. The data in the study has been collected through the secondary methodology and has been used to perform the investigation. The secondary analysis has also been done through researching, studying and reproducing the literature from various articles, journals, cases and available literature.

Results

Manifestations of atherosclerotic disease may vary due to differences in risk factors and possibly genetic disposition. Atherosclerotic disease in the coronary arteries manifests itself as angina pectoris (40 percent), myocardial infarction (40 percent), and sudden cardiac death (20 percent). The results of this study would support that the intake of foods rich in these carotenoids may be useful in preventing AMI. By scavenging free radicals under oxidative stress and thereby preventing oxidative modification of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), carotenoids could protect against the development and progression of atherosclerosis, which could lead to coronary heart disease and an increased risk of myocardial infarction.

Discussion

Disease of heart and blood vessels related to atherosclerosis, including coronary heart disease, stroke and peripheral vascular insufficiency. These conditions have similar causes, mechanisms and treatments. Cardiovascular disease is the major ...
