The consortium benchmarking is used in accordance with the authors by academeic researchers and practitioners in the formation of consortium and the highlighting the best practices. The consortium benchmarking consider practitioner as co-researcher, helping research related for both practitioners and academics. The use of variety of comparison approaches and the use of score of sources for the collection of evidence by consortium benchmarking inform the entire process through rigorous research. The authors in this paper has attempted to introduce consortium benchmarking and explain its real world application using a case study, which identifies the nature of innovative suppliers. At last, the authors compared in the study, multi-case research with consortium benchmarking and produced five features either not accounted for or neglected in “traditional” multi-case research.

Ontology and Epistemology

Scientific knowledge only reality shows that have previously constructed as knowable, which is defined as an object. Is self-limited and restricts the possibility of knowing what, yet, cannot be known to exceed those forms of knowledge that enjoy legitimacy. Its institutional control operates throughout the development of research, and reaches both the investigator, determining their options as to what to analyze, specifying what can be known "valid". The so-called "knowledge" is not, then, but the result of a convention in force in the world of science, which is associated generally with its own ontology and epistemology of positivism.
