Case Study Analysis: Southtown Medical Center

Control charts reflect the assessment of data, usually assessing the characteristics and quality of the data. Values or observations that are located between the control limits are equivalent to not rejecting or accepting the statistical hypothesis. However, those values which are outside limits are equivalent to the rejection of the hypothesis. In either case there is the possibility of error. Type I error, rejecting the hypothesis when true (Probability a) and type II does not reject when it is false (probability ß) (Control charts 2008).
