Introduction

Healthcare is a basic necessity. This necessity cannot be taken away from someone only on the basis of their legal status in the country. This is wrong from a humanitarian point of view. According to the statistics for the year 2009, almost 16.7% of the whole American population was uninsured, which deprived them of availing the substantial and imperative facilities such as health care, for preserving their health. United States of America is the only country in the world, which spends more capital and funds per person in comparison to the other countries of the world. Moreover, the major chunk of the national income is reserved for the healthcare system. Interestingly, although US claims to have the best or at least the most compatible healthcare system, yet the reports issued by WHO, almost a decade ago stated the situation otherwise (Healey, 2006). However, this article focuses on discussing and providing the justification for the recommendations for the Southeast medical, in which healthcare system, overall performance and healthcare providers in multi-provider healthcare systems.

Types of Systems, Networks, and Alliances Best to Compete Effectively and Deliver Cost-Effective Care

The quality of the healthcare delivery system in the Southeast still needs improvements. On the other hand, the general perception about the quality of the healthcare system in the Southeast is satisfactory. People are happy with the fact that the healthcare service in the system is free for all the patients. Although the population takes it for granted, the people from surroundings takes it as a blessing. The efficient use of systems, networks and alliances can deliver the best services in healthcare services. Following are the systems that should be taken into consideration for delivering efficient healthcare services:

Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs)

This is a form of information technology system that makes it easier for the healthcare delivery system to provide medicines. The distribution of medicines is easier when the patients go to the designated counter and get their medicine.

Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS)

Through the use of this technologically innovative system, the images are collected from various sources. These may include MRI, x-ray, and computed tomography. These images are stored for the benefit of both the patient and the service delivery provider in that even if the patient loses an x-ray, the doctor would not have to get it again, unless there's a new one needed (Walsh, 2007). This will also be beneficial for the patient in that taking x-rays again and again is not good.

Clinical Decision Support System or CDSS

This is yet software that helps the healthcare service providers with their decision making. Real time data is available with the doctor. This helps the healthcare service providers in that they have a clear idea on what the patient has gone through and what is the current situation of the patient.
