During the 10-day forum, I had the opportunity to gain a close up look at the path to medical school.

This is a Summer Kids Camp where I was privileged in spending time with kids aged 5 to 13 in playing tennis, swimming, skateboarding and other activities.

In International Club, a group of schoolmates and I organized bake sales and candy grams and donated the earnings to an international charity foundation.

After taking AP Chemistry, I found it pleasurable to help set up labs, help teach a lesson and even commit to outside tutoring for this class.

The National Honor Society is a membership that gives outstanding students recognition.

The NSHSS honors academically outstanding students with a membership that grants them scholarship benefits.

In Community Club, we talk about racial differences and produce plays conveying our discussions and concerns about society's prejudices.

I started Fashion Club in order to gain members to donate clothing to those in need as well as honor international trends.

The Disciplinary Committee acts as a jury for students who have disobeyed school rules.

This involves designing the yearbook cover and theme as well as communicating with other yearbook staff members on a regular basis.

In the Admissions Team, the students aid in being visitor hosts as well as hosts on Open House nights. The major duty is making visitors interested in the school.

I believe that all students deserve a chance to get a good education even if they have come from a disadvantaged background and this program supports this.

Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud, and how does it relate to the person you are?

One of the most important accomplishments that I feel proud of is having participated in the Golden Gateway Tennis and Swim Club Summer Kid's Camp for the summers of 2007 thru 2010. Being a person who loves to search for ways to help children, I looked for a way to volunteer in a way that would give me a sense of accomplishment as well as contribute and give back to my community. I had always played tennis since I was about seven years old, and I had loved the sport every since. I chose to participate in something that would influence the same feelings and add to my interest in helping children.

During these four summers, I spent each week with a different group of children aged between five and seven. Each Monday morning a child came in hiding behind the legs of their mothers and fathers crying at the idea of staying at this place for seven straight hours.
