Continuing with the same cultural group and health issue for the Session Long Project that you began in Module 2, Write a 2 - 3 page paper to address the following:

1. Describe the Cultural Empowerment of the group you chose.

2. Specifically address how each of the PEN-3 model's three factors within the dimension of cultural empowerment applies to your group. Be sure to provide examples.

3. Use subheadings to show that you have addressed each of the three factors. Support your discussion with references from scholarly and professional references (not just your opinion).

Cultural Empowerment

Culture has a fundamental impact in determining the level of health of the individual, family and community. The culture has both the positive and negative impacts on health (Airhihenbuwa C.O and Webster J.D. 2004). The concept of cultural empowerment for health refers to that how the process of health promotion takes place in any culture. By appropriate health promotion, people can control their decisions and actions in a better way which will affect their health. Empowerment highlights the significance of established culture in a society or a community and its impact on health of the people. In any culture, through this process, individuals and social groups become able to express their needs, devise strategies, make decisions, and try to fulfill those needs by taking social and cultural actions.

If we compare the health of African Americans with upstanding Americans, we come to know that; a significant difference exists, which is mainly due to the cultural differences between the two groups. .
