Introduction

Leadership is the set of capabilities that a person has to influence the minds of people or a group of determined people, making this team work with enthusiasm and towards a common goal. However, many experts tends to agree with the fact that it is the leadership which forces an individual to take initiatives, manage, hold, promote, encourage, motivate and evaluate a group or team. Leadership also involves managing the whole team effectively. However, an efficient leader can be only that individual who tends to take initiatives in bringing the team together or inculcating a team with different backgrounds. In my opinion it is the characteristic of the leader to understand what his or her team members intends (Gilbert 2009, p.12). This means that the leader should have the ability to understand the non-verbal communication. As a leader one should be capable enough to select the right time for the decision which transforms a leader into a successful leader.

As pointed out that it is counted amongst the basic roles of a leader to associate him or her in a process or taking the initiative and allows the entire team to become a part of it. However, on the other hand governance is also rendered by many experts as the means for consistent leadership. As per the nomenclature of the leadership governance tends to be defined as the management which enables the decision making by the individual where it mattered the most. Leadership is all about enabling the lower hierarchy to take decisions which tends to be in line with the goal of the organization. However, the notion of the governance tends to take its roots from the ideals of leadership (Aldwell, Hayes & Long 2010. p. 510). The whole idea of Governance tends to stand on the grounds of managing the people on a lower level whereas; the notion of leadership tends to be defined as taking a large number of people together. However, it is the leadership which can have a direct impact on the governance. However, in the course of the paper the subject tends to be discussed through various aspects in order to develop a better understanding of the subject.

Leadership as a term coins different concepts in only one word. It not only defines the personality trait of a person but it also defines the need and role of different approaches to get the things done in an effective manner by leading a group of people. For any individual to transform into an authentic leader the individual needs to be natural irrespective of the circumstances. An Individual should only demand from his or her team member which the leader can personally achieve. Precisely the leader should lead form the front or from his or her example.
